Ray Frenden reviews the too-cheap-to-be-true Monoprice graphics tablets. How do they stack up to industry standard Wacoms?

After spending a week with the 6.25“x10” Monoprice, my Yiynova and Cintiq remain unplugged and I gave my Intuos away to a friend. The Monoprice tracks subtle pressure variances and small movements with less lag and more crisp fidelity than any of the others. It is, put crudely, fucking awesome, in both OSX Lion and Windows 7 x64.

Cannot believe that I was actually insecure of having a Monoprice and not a Wacom. Unbelievable. You know what this means? Time to kick some art butt. :D

Hi everyone!

It’s been quite a while since I posted something in this blog that can be labelled ‘art’. The thing is, I’ve been spending less time drawing and being creative and I’ve been slacking more than usual. I guess I’m tired or something.

Anywaaay, I’m going to college! Yep, I graduated from high school with good enough grades, and I’m taking up Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. Yeah, I know it’s not a ‘creative’ course like Bachelor of Fine Arts Major in Advertising Arts, but I think it’s a good thing that I’m taking a course that doesn’t focus on creativity. I believe this helps me become a Renaissance woman. 

I hope to post better things in this blog though. I hope I still have people who are willing to support me with that.

Anyway, the best of luck to all of us! :)

YAY for our first BTS video. So basically this is a compilation of all random video clips from our Doppelganger shoot. We just had our Canon Photoskwela before we did this; hence, the rotating camera idea. We couldn’t get their effect that’s why we were walking instead. HAH.

Hi! So… this is the modeling gig me and Pam went to. I’m the one in the floral dress, holding the dead branch of something. I don’t really have much to say except that it feels a bit awkward to see your face in a portfolio, something I have never tried before. I hope my face doesn’t creep anyone out!

Hello! Sorry for the lack of updates! I’ve been busy these days, and there’s a lot of stuff I want to talk about.

First on the list is the small meetup with Zarah, June, and Glenn! I’ve met June and Glenn before, but I’ve never met Zarah IRL. I do know that she’s one of Viv’s friends though~. A lot of the first Cebu meet-up people were invited (through Twitter lol), but majority couldn’t go because of other important things to do. Oh well, ‘till next time! :)

We couldn’t really document the event because we had so much fun getting re-acquainted with each other. Hopefully we can do a better job at documenting next time!
